Dr. Maureen Callender

Dr. Maureen Callender (Craig) grew up in Chehalis and loves the South Sound. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Pacific Lutheran University in 2006 and her D.D.S from the University of Washington in 2011. She spent her summers working at Camp St. Albans Girl Scout Camp in Belfair. Following dental school, Dr. Callender completed an additional year of training in Yakima and received her Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate. After practicing as a general dentist for four years in Tenino, Dr. Callender was inspired to return to school to study pediatric dentistry. She graduated from the University of Washington and Seattle Children’s Hospital Pediatric Dentistry Program in 2017, having served as the chief resident. Dr. Callender loves caring for families in our community, where she is active in the Thurston-Mason Counties Oral Health Coalition, the Thurston-Mason Counties Dental Society, and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
Dr. Callender enjoys helping kids become more comfortable and confident in the world by creating successful experiences at the dentist. Outside of the office she loves to cook, run, and explore Washington with her husband and dog in their camper. Dr. Callender is a new mom to one sweet boy. Her favorite topics of conversation are Mt. Rainier, garage sales, and baked goods.
