Debbie -Office Manager
Debbie grew up in western Washington, graduating from Elma High School. Married to her high school sweetheart since 1978, Debbie and Dale raised two grown sons who live in the area. Debbie and her husband enjoy bowling and traveling, especially on their motorbikes. Debbie has earned her Fellowship in the American Academy of Dental Office Managers. She has been with the pediatric dental practice since 1994.
Kara – Financial Coordinator
A huge Seattle Seahawks fan, Kara also enjoys watching her kids – Kaelyn, Natalie and Tyler – play football and soccer. When not cheering for her favorite team, Kara also bakes fun cakes. A graduate of South Bend High School and Clover Park Technical College, Kara has been with the practice since 2000, spending seven years as a dental assistant before moving into the financial coordinator role. “It warms my heart to have a patient, who was initially nervous about treatment, stop back in my office with a big smile to tell me how well the appointment went,” describes Kara.
For Abby, it’s smiling faces and great stories that make working with kids so much fun. A graduate of Centralia College, Abby lives with her husband Triston and son, James. When not at work, Abby enjoys horseback riding, hiking, and kayaking. Abby grew up in Yelm and graduated from Rainier High School.
Dezaray – Scheduling Coordinator
Dezaray is a busy mom to four kids – Chazen, Kaylee Jo, Dalyne and Reanna – with her husband, Andy. With the practice since 2004, Dezaray has worked as both a dental assistant and at the front desk. A Montesano High School and South Puget Sound Community College graduate, Dezaray enjoys the enthusiasm of kids and the variety it brings to her day. When not at work, Dezaray loves watching her children play sports and spending time with her friends and family.
Heather – Scheduling Coordinator
Heather is married to high school sweetheart, Wylie. She has two boys – Cody and Austin – and a little dog, Hunter. Heather enjoys baking, photography, and watching her boys play baseball and soccer. Her family enjoys the outdoors, including hunting together. Originally from the Yakima Valley, Heather has been with Small to Tall Pediatric Dentistry since 2014.
Amanda enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest and traveling. A graduate of Concorde Career Institute in Portland, Amanda says “working with kids puts a smile on my face and makes every day fun.” Amanda is married to Tahyn and is raising their son, Cooper. She is originally from Tenino.
Jennifer -Registered Dental Hygienist
Jennifer loves being an aunt to her twin nieces, Izzy and Abby. She lives with her dog, Loki, a boxer/husky mix. During her free time, she enjoys boxing, volleyball, softball and dodgeball. Jennifer graduated from Decatur High School in Federal Way and then completed a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene at Eastern Washington University. “I love all of the unique personalities of the kids in our practice,” says Jennifer. “They have great stories which keeps things interesting.”
Dayna -Registered Dental Hygienist
A Tumwater T-bird at heart, Dayna and her two children, Greysen and Meysa, live with two dogs, four cats and eleven chickens. She enjoys golfing and traveling to sunny places, including her volunteer dentistry work in Mexico. “I like working with kids because it allows me to use my restorative hygiene training and communication skills,” says Dayna. “It’s my passion.” Dayna attended Eastern Washington University and finished her Registered Dental Hygienist degree at Pierce College.
Tiffany -Dental Assistant
Tiffany grew up in Packwood, graduated from White Pass High School and attended Clover Park Technical College. Tiffany and her husband, Josh, have two sons, Braden and Austin. Tiffany enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She likes working with kids because they tell funny stories and she values getting to see them grow up in the practice. She especially enjoys treating children with special needs.
Jessica – Dental Assistant
Jessica has been with the practice since June 2008, and says she likes being able to give her patients a positive dental experience. She graduated from Clover Park Technical College and is a Registered Dental Assistant. She also holds her Manicurist License from Quality Beauty College. Jessica and her husband, Billy, have two sons, Parker and Tucker. She loves spending time with her family, especially outdoors or in the sunshine. Jessica has an identical twin sister who is also a dental assistant.
Megan – Dental Assistant
Megan and her husband, Matt, have two sons, Tanner and William . The family also has a miniature schnauzer named Mac. Megan graduated from Olympia High School before attending South Puget Sound Community College. She enjoys dancing, skiing riding dirt bikes, baseball and reading. She says that working with kids is very rewarding. “I love teaching and creating positive experience. There’s never a dull moment.”
Carmell – Dental Assistant
Carmell grew up in Hoquiam, attended Hoquiam High School and Bates Technical College. She feels that working with kids is such a rewarding job because they are fun, exciting, energetic and honest. Outside of work, Carmell loves spending time with her husband, son and daughter. Whenever possible, they enjoy outdoor activities, going on vacations, having adventures, but most of all, having fun. Carmell’s motto is “life is short, so have fun and enjoy.”
Dallas – Dental Assistant
Dallas enjoys camping, riding quads and sitting by a fire, hanging out with friends and family. The Montesano High School graduate completed her dental assisting certificate at Clover Park Technical College. “I enjoy hearing kids’ stories and making them laugh,” she says. Dallas and her boyfriend, Bobby, are expecting their first child.
Angela – Dental Assistant
Angela grew up in the Olympia and Tumwater area. Outside of the office, Angela enjoys reading and spending time with her Chihuahua, Maddy. Her favorite author is Jodi Picoult and her favorite movie is “Armageddon.” If she could travel anywhere in the world, she would visit Australia. When she was younger, Angela wanted to be a teacher. She says her favorite part of working with kids is their ability to be completely honest and learning something new from the kids every day.
Dental Assistant Amanda and her husband, Trevin, have one daughter – Kailynn. During her free time, Amanda enjoys crafting, wallyball and spending time with family and friends. “Kids always find a way to make me laugh,” says Amanda who grew up in Bonney Lake and graduated from South Puget Sound Community College. “I love being a part of creating a positive dental experience.”
Taylor – Dental Assistant
Born and raised in Olympia, Taylor graduated from Black Hills High School and South Puget Sound Community College. Taylor was even a previous patient, as a child. “Kids make my day brighter,” says Taylor who grew up in an in-home childcare with 12 kids. Taylor and her boyfriend, Chris, have one dog, Wrigley.
Hillary – Dental Assistant
When not working as a dental assistant, Hillary stays active on a roller derby team. Hillary was raised in the Olympia and Lacey area, graduating from North Thurston High School in 2005. Hillary lives with her husband, Stephen. She attended South Puget Sound Community College before joining Small to Tall Pediatric Dentistry. Hillary says, “I enjoy kid’s honesty. They keep my work day exciting and fun.”
Brittani – Dental Assistant
A fan of “all things Disney”, Brittani grew up in Tacoma and attended Franklin Pierce High School before graduating from Clover Park Technical College. When not helping kids have a positive experience at the dentist, Brittani enjoys going to the lake and hiking.
Kathy -Dental Assistant
Dental Assistant Kathy loves shopping and going to the movies. Married to Glenn since July 2006, the couple has a daughter, Amelia. Kathy grew up in Puyallup and attended Rogers High School before training at Bates Technical College. “I have always taken pleasure in both teaching kids how to work through their dental visit so that the office is a positive place for kids to come,” shares Kathy. She has been with the practice since 2008.
Nicole – Dental Assistant
When the weather is nice, you can likely find Nicole outdoors. A graduate of Aberdeen High School, Nicole got her dental assisting training in Arizona before moving back to Western Washington. “I love my job as a pediatric dental assistant because I enjoy being a part of a positive experience for kids,” she says. Nicole joined the team in 2015.
Felicia – Dental Assistant
Chat with Felicia about riding her quad, hiking or any outdoor activity. “I like working with kids because I can let a kid know a dental office is a safe place.” After receiving her bachelors degree from The Evergreen State College, Felicia completed her dental assisting degree at South Puget Sound Community College. She lives with her husband and step-daughter.
Alycia – Dental Assistant
Alycia loves being on her boat during the summer. “If it could be summer all year, I would be perfectly fine,” says the graduate of Washington State University (Go Cougs!). Alycia is also a graduate of West Coast College of Dental Assisting and loves when kids are excited for a dental visit. Alycia lives with her two black labs, Lincoln and Karona.
